About

I am an Occupational Therapist and my main passion is using the built environment to support people’s occupational performance (basically ensuring people are able to do the things they want, need and have to do in their everyday lives, without being hindered by the built environment).  Having completed an MSc in Accessibility and Inclusive Design at the University of Salford, I won a EPSRC PhD scholarship  to conduct research into the home modification process, which I completed in 2016.  My research interests are in the process used by Occupational Therapist when modifying home environments to improve health and well-being. In 2015 I became a joined the teaching and research team  in the School of Health Sciences at the University of Salford.
